&Tradition Pavilion AV7 / AV9 Bar Stool, Black Oak

&Tradition’s Pavilion bar and counter stools merge together a softly bent veneer seat and slender steel tube frame. Pavilion stools create harmonic ambience by many kinds of bar tables and kitchen islands.

Andersen & Voll designed the first Pavilion chair for mass seating at the Langelinie Pavilion, located on the castle grounds of Copenhagen’s Kastellet fortress. Langelinie Pavilion has been destroyed and rebuilt several times, and its resilient spirit inspired Torbjørn Anderssen and Espen Voll to create a strong, durable chair with a tender soul. Steel tube chairs are often based on fixed angles, but Andersen & Voll wanted to give the Pavilion chair a freer, flowing form. Despite the robust steel frame, the chairs of the Pavilion collection have an airy and poetic feeling.
